Well, add two more cases of strep throat plus an ear infection to the Zeller illness toll. Yikes! I guess I should be glad it's not the swine flu. Anyway, between administering doses of antibiotics, I received some new sale info ...
I've alluded to my love for Julian Chichester before. I have previously received info about some Julian Chichester closeout pieces, but I wasn't aware that they had established a closeout location. Well, according to the postcard that arrived in the mail, The Chichester Closet - a "treasure trove of Closeout, Scratch & Dent and One-off Pieces that are priced to move" - is open from 9 am to 5 pm through May 18 at 116E Kivett Drive in High Point. For more information, call 336.886.2454. Between markets, The Chichester Closet is open by appointment only at Julian Chichester's permanent IHFC showroom location. Hmmmmm .... must add that to my list of places to go!
Calico Corners is having a storewide sale from May 8 to May 30. Basically, it's a percentage off depending on how much you purchase (10% off $0-$500, 15% off $501-$250, and 20% off $2501+). Eddie Ross is a big Calico Corners fan as evidenced by some of his recent posts (here and here) So check it out and see what you think! The Charlotte location is at Park Towne Village on Woodlawn Road. I'm currently lusting after a cream/brown/blue medallion print that I find subtle but striking. But - for great fabric at reasonable prices - make sure you also check out Robyn's Fabrics in south Charlotte or Mary Jo's in Gastonia ... or even the "to the trade" showrooms (with a designer in tow). Obviously, it depends what you are looking at, but many "to the trade" fabrics are priced comparably to, if not lower than, the Calico Corners fabrics.
As always, if you embark on any great projects, send me some pictures!
